Drew's Baptism

Momma and son.

My cozy man.

Our family.

All within the midst of one weekend, we visited friends, went to two weddings in one day, and then rose early Sunday morning for Drew's Baptism.  Paul was in Wisconsin for the weekend, which is a rare event, so it was important to take advantage of all these opportunities to celebrate together.

Great Grandpa Bumps

Drew's Godmother!

We decided to have Drew baptized in the church where Paul and I were married in Appleton. It was the perfect choice and allowed us to be surrounded by our family in Wisconsin. As a wonderful and sentimental added bonus, Drew was baptized by his Great Grandfather Erickson.  We were so honored to have Bumps be a part of our wedding celebration but also to have him baptize our son - his first great grandchild. It is hard to put into words how honored we were, and how special this was for us.

I love this picture of Bumps, captures the moment perfectly.

Announcing Drew to the congregation!

Drew was a trooper and we put him into his little white baptism onesie and booties in the back rooms of the church.  Lyssa, my best friend, and Mark, Paul's oldest brother, served as Drew's god parents and sponsors.  Lyssa held the little peanut all through the ceremony and was there for him when he received baptism. I believe the pictures speak for themselves - it was a perfect time.  Luckily we had Erik around to capture all of the moments in photos for us!

The godparents!

After the church ceremony, we were invited to celebrate with the Austin's. We were so very fortunate to be able to spend more time with Fred and Charlotte who were back in the states for Nancy's wedding and looking around at different schools. What sheer luck that we were able to visit with one another so soon after our trip to England! Fred was feeding me while I was 20 weeks pregnant, and now she was able to hold the little peanut!

Drew's glowing grandparents!

The growing Anderson family!

Drew made many social rounds and found his way into everyone's arms that day.  It was perfect. Paul had to fly home late that evening to get to work, and luckily for me I was able to stay an extra day or two to visit with family.  We stopped to see my grandparents and show everyone the new addition, since this was his first time in Wisconsin!

So nice to see Fred and Charolette!

B is for Buck. Little baby buckwheat!

Great Grandpa and his first great grandson!

Four generations of men!

We were very fortunate to share these days with everyone, and want to thank everyone for their love and support as we welcomed Drew into our home.
