Fall Weekends

Little man in red shorts and a cheesy grin!

I match Dad!

The time has been going by quickly. Each week ends with a new weekend and time to share with Paul. He drives to me or I drive to him. The weeks in-between are a whirlwind of sleepless nights, time with Drew, daycare drop offs, pumping, homework, dinner, baths, diapers, spit up, dirty laundry, books before bed, rocking to sleep  and repeat. I like to think of it as my beautiful little mess. Drew and I are doing pretty well for ourselves. He's my little partner in crime and in life. We smile and giggle, and share so much joy.

The Cleveland bachelors.

In order to add to the chaos we decided to start scheduling in little activities. We noticed that Drew was a major fan of bath time and water, so we looked around and found a place for Drew to take baby swimming and water survival lessons in Pittsburgh. We started off with a few infant classes on the weekends. Drew and Paul went into the chilly pool water and tried to learn how to float. It seemed slightly excessive, but at the same time, Drew was really enjoying it, and I imaged it was good for him in the event that he accidentally fell into the pool or lake!

The best moments.

Since starting a few months ago, he has really started to like the water, he progressed into the full dunk and floats with only the instructors hand under his head. We can put him fully underwater after his float sessions! He also moved up a level and does all the swimming exercises with an instructor. Not bad for a 8 month old.

Each month with Drew has brought so much joy to our family. He changes so quickly that its hard to catch our breath. We are so grateful for the opportunity to be parents. It's been a wild and beautiful ride.

Okay, now off to snuggle my little boy before he is too proud for public mom love!

Paul leaving his mark in the nursery. Our beautiful mess of a life!
