Beeves go to Lake Ganeeves!

The flight to Wisconsin was smooth, and I was able to spend a day with mum and see both of the grandma's, it was great!  We stopped by Uncle Bucks house for some Don's chicken and then Lyssa picked me up so we could hit the road for our girls weekend!  Liz picked us up from Lyssa's house and we drove down HWY 41 to Twin Lakes, Wisconsin!

We found the cabin in the dark and were happy to realized that the place wasn't a scam! Hahah, Sarah sent the check in and was thinking that it was possibly a scam because the check went so some place in Chicago... but we lucked out!  The cabin is beautiful! There are enough beds for all of us and the place is fully furnished!

Sunrise, Twin Lakes!

We had a good night talking and catching up around the kitchen table and bowl of puppy chow.  Lyssa and I stayed up and changed the tunes to country music, it was a blast!

I woke up extra early (thank you eastern time) and was able to watch the sunrise over the lake.  Moving away has made me so much more appreciative of  Wisconsin!

Sun coming up more!  So nice to be back in the woods...

Today we were going to try to find a place to get antique pictures taken, but the place unfortunately closed!  So, instead we might try to find a place to go horseback riding, which of course always brings many memories and horror stories...  But first, we went into the water and went swimming!!  SOO COLD, but sooo worth it!  Liz and I usually do things that are encouraging crazy extreme behavior!

Socks, American flag swimsuit, warm coffee and warm winter hat... prepared for our adventure!

The water was too shallow off of the dock, so we had to paddle to a deep spot to jump in!

Either way, we're going to enjoy the fresh air, beautiful view, and company of all these crazy roomies! It's been a great day so far, and it's bound to continue!
