Closing on Our First Home!

Opening our door right after signing the papers!

Opening our door right after signing the papers!

We did it, we actually bought and closed on our first home...  Then came move in day.  Of course all of these fun activities were nestled into my boards studying time - but we made it.  I wanted to include some pictures of the house for everyone to see as well as some pictures from the big move.  I guess I could say, without a doubt, that the biggest part of the move was definitely muscling the large seven foot comfy sac down out the house and down the stairs.  We (... really Paul and Josiah) couldn't take it out through the front door because the staircase was too narrow, so we had to go through the hallway of our apartment and out the emergency exit.  It was quite an adventure!  I unfortunately couldn't stop laughing while the boys were getting royally upset with this massive piece of furniture.

First time turning the key... then immediately changing the locks! HAH!

The rest of the move was pretty uneventful - with a lot of unpacking, yet keeping most things in boxes so we could easily shuffle things around once my parents came!

Our kitchen, ohh how I loved that kitchen!

We had a good two years at our apartment on Amber Street!  It was our first apartment together, and a place were our lives changed dramatically.  Paul got through his intern year, and me my first years of medical school.  We lost loved ones and can still remember the place we received the calls with the news. We got engaged in the little hallway outside our door, and planned a life together.  Our apartment was a fun start to our time together in Pittsburgh.  It will always hold a special place in our memories.

I had to add a picture of the bathroom, I mean.. come on.

Our living room - and the massive comfy sac!

Our master bedroom - exposed brick, ahhh adorable.

Where the studying happened... the spare room!
