A Marsh Mothers Day in Pittsburgh
Keeping the tradition of seeing each other once a month, my parents made the journey out to Pittsburgh to join us over Mother's Day weekend! They drive from Wisconsin and were welcomed by Taylor and Katie who were helping me with Drew and making dinner. Haha, It was like I had my own personal welcoming team. Taylor was rewarded with hot sticks from Maplewood meats and cheese curds, which I am assuming made it all worth it.
It was such a nice visit. We did a lot around the house to clean up and prepare for the summer. Curty freshened up the yard by adding new wood chips around the plants, and I planted some flowers to add some summer color. Paul and Curt changed out the bed in our spare room so we have a bit more storage now, and a king bed if needed. Curty also replaced our hot water heater that was on the fritz.
We got out of the house by walking to the park and grabbing a drink at Starbucks. Drew loved the nice long walk. It was nice that Paul was able to come back and join us in Pittsburgh for the quick visit from my parents. Even Uncle John made the trip back. We celebrated Paul's Birthday with some steaks on the grill, so delicious. I loved to catch up and enjoy each others company over some home cooked meals and house projects! After my parents left, Drew went to his new school - which we absolutely adore! So many adventures ahead!
