The Anderson family has been going down to Marco Island in Florida for many years. I had yet to experience, but we were able to align our trip back for the wedding with finishing the week on the beach in Marco. After the wedding we used Sunday to recharge after all of the dancing and festivities! My parents picked up Drew from his overnight adventure at Lyssa's house and we had lunch in Appleton. We spent the rest of the day repacking to get ready for our early Monday morning departure from Milwaukee airport.

We had direct flights from MKE to Fort Meyers. In the airport we took some time to recharge Drew with milk. I was so surprised that the airport had a MAMAVA pod for lactating moms. It was so nice and spacious, it fit Paul, Drew and I comfortably. I was so impressed, I immediately followed them on Twitter (https://twitter.com/mamava). Hats off to Milwaukee airport for supporting traveling moms. It's always so difficult to find the personal balance between feeding in public without shame and feeding in a nasty public bathroom. I wish there was something in-between. I think the Mom pod did just that.

Drew was an excellent traveler on the plane. Before we knew it we were driving to Marco Island. It was so nice to get down to the beach and relax. The weather was perfect. We had a few days of relaxation planned. Each morning we would get up and swim with Drew in the morning. The swimming lessons were paying off, he absolutely loved the water. We splashed and did our pool exercises. Drew even swam under the rope into the deep end. We relaxed by the pool and went on many walks down the road and on the beach.

It was so nice to spend the week with Pauls family, Pam & Dean and Nancy and Joe. We went to Snook Inn and had an amazing seafood dinner. Another night later in the week, the rest of the vacationing clan babysat for sleepy Drew while Paul and I went out to eat at a restaurant down the beach. We walked there, had a wonderful dinner and walked back. It was so refreshing to have a night out. I hope we can continue to share this yearly tradition with the Anderson family!
